Welcome to North Shore Health Laboratory. As a department of North Shore Health, we are here to serve you. Feel free to call us during business hours to assist you with your lab testing needs. Our experienced staff of Lab Professionals provides services to the ER, Hospital, Outpatients, and Care Center Residents. Using current, modern technology, we perform routine and STAT testing in chemistry, immunochemistry, blood gasses, hematology, coagulation, urinalysis, microbiology, and transfusion services. North Shore Health undergoes annual inspections by the College of American Pathologists and is accredited as a quality laboratory.
 

What to Bring with You

Please bring your outpatient referral to the Hospital Reception Desk to register for laboratory services. The referral must include your legal name, date of birth, tests requested, physician's name and signature, diagnosis, and contact information for out-of-town physicians (phone and fax number).
 

Hours of Operation

North Shore Health Laboratory is operational 24/7. Normal Outpatient Hours are Monday – Friday 7:30 am – 5:00 p.m. and Weekends/ Holidays from 8:00 am – Noon. Please note that staffing is limited after 4:30 pm M-F and on the weekends. We ask that any special needs you may have during those times be scheduled in advance to assure timely service and the best possible care for you, our patient.
