Highlighting Two Great Occupational Therapists
April is Occupational Therapy Month
We are thrilled to highlight our two great Occupational Therapists that work here at North Shore Health; Anna Sorensen and Katelyn Rice.
With Occupational Therapies roots stemming back to pre-World War I it has evolved considerably from its origins. Although the name implies work, it’s just a fraction of what OT specializes in. You might have a loved one struggling to remember everyday tasks and keeping them in order- they can assist with improving your home set up to make them successful. You may have a child that has difficulty in being able to handle environments that may seem easy for you- they can teach them the skills to cope and succeed in those situations. You may have a loved one struggling with swelling on their legs from lymphedema – they can help with improving their comfort and function. Maybe you struggle following an accident to your hand or holding onto your tools or utensils they give you the resources to keep doing the things you love.
If you come across one of our OTs please say hello and help us thank them for the great resources they provide here in Cook County.
