North Shore Ambulance responds to emergencies throughout the entire 3340 square miles of rugged, yet beautiful, Cook County, MN. Our Emergency Medical Services (EMS) staff brings advanced skills and a desire to provide quality, compassionate care wherever you find yourself needing assistance.
A combination of Paramedics, Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs) and Emergency Medical Responders (EMRs) make up our EMS team. We provide basic and advanced life support transports to our local hospital as well as regional health facilities when a higher level of care is required.
Our ambulance service offers a variety of state-of-art equipment to provide you the urgent, specialized treatment you require in the field and while transporting you to the hospital for care. Our mobile EKG capabilities allow our EMS staff to transmit cardiac monitoring to the ER physician while in route.
We recognize and are grateful for our partnership with Grand Portage Ambulance Service which provides EMS coverage to the Grand Portage Reservation. We also value our collaboration with The Gunflint Trail Ambulance Service, Cook County Search and Rescue and county-wide First Responders who provide quick response, remote aid and rescue, and initial care throughout all areas of the county.
