North Shore Health is a rural health facility located on the beautiful north shore of Lake Superior in Grand Marais, Minnesota.
North Shore Home Care provides at-home care services to Cook County residents for the purpose of promoting, maintaining, or restoring an individual’s health, minimizing the effects of illness and disability, and supporting an individual’s needs during end-of life.

Anna Sorensen ORT/L
Anna graduated from University of Saint Catherine in St. Paul in 1996 with a B.A. in Occupational Therapy. Anna worked in the Twin Cities with children in the school and pediatric outpatient clinic. Anna loves animals and was able to use her OT skills working with her clients on horseback called hippotherapy, to meet their goals.
In 2003 she moved to Grand Marais with her family. Currently Anna is the only occupational therapist in Cook County. She provides services in the local school early childhood program and with ages ”birth to 100” at North Shore Health.
Anna has additional training in sensory integration; the S.O.S feeding program for complex feeding issues; Level 2 Certification in Autism Training from DIRFloortime model; and she is a certified Sanity School parent educator; In the adult population she has had extra training in the area of dementia with Dementia Care Specialists and the LSVT Big program.
Anna is passionate about supporting all people to live at their fullest potential. Currently she is pursuing ways to provide parent education to families who have children with complex needs.
