Did you know that North Shore Health has training available for Emergency Medical Technicians?

This is a paid training position to become eligible to take the National Emergency Medical Technician licensure exam and be on the state and national EMT registry. Your time will be spent split between the EMT course, computer training, classroom time, skills lab, and clinical training (unpaid) and working under the supervision of the ER Nurse, EMT, and/or Paramedic to assist with the care and operations of the emergency room and the ambulance (paid). Once accepted into the program you will have a five (5) month period to complete the training program, pass the national testing, and obtain your national registry. If you have not completed the program and have not obtained your national registry after the five-month period, you will not be eligible for paid work but will be able to complete the course portion. After completing the required employment commitment, the cost for the course will be waived.
