Our 2nd cohort for our in-house EMT program is off to the races!
Today, our students gathered at North Shore Health EMS for their first hands-on skills session.
For this initial training, we focused on learning the ins and outs of an ambulance and what it has to offer in terms of equipment, interventions, and overall patient care.
For example, did you know that we have at least six ways to move a patient off the scene and onto a stretcher?
Our students learned and practiced the use of Mega-Movers, long backboards, scoop stretchers, stair chairs, power-load cot systems, and full-body vacuum splints.
Much more to come over these next few months.
Be sure to follow our adventures and cheer on our EMT students every step of the way.
Thank you!
