As with any leadership position, one wears many hats.
My favorite and most valuable hat, however, is the one of a teacher.
At NSH EMS, we prioritize training and there isn’t a week that goes by that I don’t witness the positive impact of that investment.
Lately, we’ve been integrating ‘teach back’ sessions where each crew member is assigned a skill or a topic to teach back to the group.
If we’re on the right track as a department, I can sit back with confidence and watch them shine.
It’s getting pretty bright around here!
