NSH EMS is excited to introduce the portable Butterfly Ultrasound for those ‘hard stick’ veins that require IV access.

This is the initial step of a year-long training initiative in our department that will ultimately expand and allow for our ALS providers to perform other ultrasound-based tests in the pre-hospital setting.

For now, however, we are proud to bring this extensive IV training to both our EMT and paramedic providers and will be offering this additional technology to our ambulance in the coming month or two.
