Bernie the Bear Simplifies COVID Mask Regulations

New MASK ON or MASK OPTIONAL Signage

Bernie the Bear Simplifies COVID Mask Regulations

COVID-19 Mask Regulations can be confusing, but North Shore Health has employed the help of “Bernie the Bear” to keep it simple for visitors and patients.

When you arrive at our entrances, you will see a sign that explains our current rules and regulations of mask use.

With that said, things can change (and often do).

To make it easier for you, the signs have an interchangeable insert in which Bernie the Bear clarifies “MASK ON” or “MASK OPTIONAL”.

Mask use reduction is voluntary.  Those who want to continue to use masks can certainly do so.

One exception is our Care Center (North Shore Living): Masks are required in the Care Center to protect our residents.

Care Center visitors may remove their mask when in Resident/Patient rooms only (with permission from Patient/Resident).

Thank you for continuing to help keep our patients and residents safe. We appreciate your cooperation!
