Clarification for Updated CDC Respiratory Virus Guidance

Separate Specific Guidelines Apply When Visiting Healthcare Settings

Clarification for Updated CDC Respiratory Virus Guidance

While the CDC recently relaxed their guidance regarding the public isolation period after fever-free from a positive COVID-19 test, that does not apply to healthcare settings such as hospitals and nursing homes. The CDC offers separate, specific guidance for healthcare settings, which have not changed. Visitation to the hospital and Care Center should be minimized during the 10 days past exposure or infection. Masks should be worn during this time frame also as well. Thank you for your continued help in keeping respiratory illnesses, such as Covid-19, out of the Hospital and Care Center at NSH.
