Congratulations to Erin Altemus, winner of the 2023 Gunflint Mail Run 8-Dog Race!
Not only is Erin an exceptional RN at the North Shore Health hospital, she is also a champion musher (Sawtooth Racing).
We are very proud of you Erin! When asked about it, Erin responded, “I’m happy to have co-workers that not only put up with my crazy training schedule, but also show up to support me at the race. It’s fun to win and also to have such a supportive community.”
PS: Her husband, Matt Schmidt won the 12-Dog Race as well! Quite the family pedigree!
