Please forward this to anyone who may need their EMR-Refresher before March 2024 (or any time in 2024).

Pine Technical & Community College and North Shore Health EMS are partnering together to offer an Emergency Medical Responder - Refresher Course.

This 16-hour EMR-R course fulfills the EMSRB requirement to renew as an EMR in the state of Minnesota.

The American Heart Association BLS/CPR re-certification is included in this course.

EMRs are required to renew their certification every two years.

Please join us January 13th and 14th (Saturday/Sunday from 9am-5pm) for two, full days of interactive, lively education and hands-on skills from Pine Tech EMS Instructor and North Shore Health EMS Director, Karla Pankow.

Saturday 1/13/24:
• EMSRB Renewal Application Process
• Oxygenation/Ventilation Education & Skills (Airway Management)
• Medical Assessments & Patient Scenarios (Cardiac, Respiratory, Neurologic, Diabetic/Endocrine, Toxic/Metabolic, Environmental)

Sunday 1/14/24:
• Trauma Assessments & Patient Scenarios (Extrication, Splinting, Packaging Musculoskeletal Injuries)
• Bleeding & Shock Management
• BLS CPR Recertification

Course Location: North Shore Health Multi-Purpose Room (main entrance)

Course Fee: $200/person (includes both days)
