North Shore Health is committed to providing access to our health care services, including the communication between the patients and residents, or their health care decision makers, and the medical professionals providing care.
North Shore Health provides virtual medical interpreter services free of charge to patients, residents and medical decision makers when needed or requested for the purposes of receiving or understanding medical treatment.
Through virtual interpretation services, you and your care team have fast, direct access to qualified medical interpreters who are able to bridge the communication gap between individuals and medical professionals.
Interpreter services are available on-demand. If possible, it is helpful to notify our staff of the need for interpreter services in advance so we can be prepared from the moment you arrive.
Other accommodations for hearing impairment, vision impairment, or limited-English proficiency needs will also be made available free of charge upon request.
To pre-arranged interpreter services for a planned visit, please contact the specific department where you will be receiving services.
For general information regarding our medical interpreter services and the other accommodations available, please contact our Facility Social Worker at 218-387-3261.
