BWCA Rescue Effort

A big thank you to the amazing and selfless work of the Gunflint Trail Volunteer Fire Department who, despite the torrential downpour, downed trees & power lines, intense wind, and lightning, were able to extricate and rescue a patient from this past Tuesday night’s traumatic event.
It is because of these incredible volunteers that North Shore Health EMS was able to successfully assume care and transport of this patient.
Our gratitude also extends to the Cook County Sheriff’s Office and 911 Dispatchers, the Cook County Highway Department, and Arrowhead Cooperative.
